Pasta? Pasta... PASTA!!!
The history of pasta is extraordinary not only because of its ancient roots, or the myriad diverse recipes, or the sweeping acclaim pasta enjoys in all the regions of the world.The story of its inception is also lavishly laden with mysteries and controversies. Some legends claim pasta dates back to the Ancient Romans who professed a belief that pasta was given to them by Gods. Other sources argue that the birthplace of modern pasta is to be found in China from where in 1292 Marco Polo brought it back with him to Italy. Most likely though the DISCOVERY of Marco Polo was not of pasta as a culinary novelty, but that in China they ALSO had it!
